My music background is rock
and heavy metal in the late 70s and mid 80s where I
played professionally for 10 years. In the early 80s
I was the front man of a band called Nytrix which
released two albums; toured Canada and the US with
acts such as Anvil, Coney Hatch, Honeymoon Suite and
Killer Dwarfs. We opened for bands such as Max
Webster, Saga, Triumph and Motor Head.
I started listening to country and really liked
it. In the mid 90s I started writing country songs
and recorded many of them and never looked back. I
got involved with CCMA and came up with the Dance
Tonight album which was recorded at
Metal Works in Toronto, Canada. It features some of
Canada’s great players such as Al Brisco on steel
guitar and Anita Paris on backing vocals who was
CCMA female country singer of the year in 1986.
My music is already getting a lot
of airplay in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and
U.S.
